Like many U.S. hotels during 2020, Beaver Creek Lodge was forced to close its doors for an extended period due to the pandemic. Once reopened, it was without a core segment—the international ski market. The hotel and Kessler Collection management team were tasked with creating a new niche for success while maintaining a financial responsibility to internal homeowners during a period marked by uncertainty and nearly constant change.
Holding the rate until demand returned, then implementing revenue management strategies through Marriott, modifying the mix of business to gain maximum ADR and occupancy.
